Family and pet information

  • Dogs in the hotel

    Welcome with your four-legged friend! We warmly welcome dogs to our hotel, where you can relax together. However, please note that for hygiene reasons and out of consideration for other guests, dogs are not permitted in our restaurant, the chocolate lounge, or the pool area. For our furry guests, we have prepared special dog rooms equipped with dog beds. As a little extra, your pet will receive a special treat upon arrival. We also clean your room daily. Please indicate when booking that you are bringing your four-legged friend, as we charge a small surcharge for this. We look forward to welcoming you and your dog!

  • Is this hotel suitable for children?

    Westerstede, with its Hössenbad swimming pool and the Janßen country adventure park, is a great place for children to go! However, our hotel is primarily designed to provide a quiet and relaxing environment. While children are welcome, we are not a children's hotel. If you bring your little ones, we'd be happy to welcome you! However, please ensure that peace and relaxation are the priority at all times, and that your children adhere to this. Westerstede also has a swimming pool with an outdoor pool and slide, perfect for romping around! Are there special dining options for children in the restaurant? Yes, we offer a small children's menu in our restaurant, tailored specifically to the preferences of our younger guests. This way, even the little gourmets can find something delicious.

  • What time can I check in? What time can I check out?

    Check-in is possible from 3 p.m., and check-out is by 11 a.m. You are welcome to book an early check-in or late check-out for an additional charge of €30 each. Early check-in: from 12 p.m. Late check-out: until 2 p.m.

  • Are dogs allowed in the hotel?

    Of course, you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends to the hotel! We have special rooms where dogs are welcome. There is a surcharge of €20 per dog per night. Please note that dogs are not allowed in our Chocolate Lounge or the Vossini Restaurant due to open food.

  • Do we have rooms with separate beds?

    Our double rooms are equipped with double beds that cannot be separated.

  • Do we have accessible rooms?

    Yes, we have accessible rooms in the Truffle category.

  • Do the rooms have air conditioning?

    Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning, depending on the category chosen.

  • Do we have rooms with a bathtub?

    Yes, in our Praline category two rooms are equipped with a bathtub.

  • Do we have rooms with carpeted floors?

    Yes, most of our rooms have carpeted floors.

  • Do we have ground-floor rooms?

    We do not have any rooms on the ground floor, but all double rooms are accessible by elevator.

  • Do we have a connecting room?

    Yes, we have a connecting door between a Truffle double room and a Truffle single room.

Culinary & Enjoyment

  • What are the opening hours of Restaurant Vossini?

    The breakfast buffet is available from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on weekends. We welcome you daily from 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and spoil you with our hot meals.

  • What are the opening hours of the Chocolate Lounge?

    In our chocolate lounge you can enjoy breakfast dishes, hot drinks, warm meals, and cocktails every day from 12:00 to 23:00.

  • Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

    Dogs are not allowed in any of our dining rooms (the Chocolate Lounge and the Vossini Restaurant). You are welcome to bring your four-legged friend with you on our cozy market terrace. During the colder months, our terrace is just as inviting, with patio heaters, patio heaters, and blankets.

  • Accessibility?

    Our restaurant has ground-level tables. Simply provide this information when making your reservation and we will accommodate your request.

  • Are there lactose-free, gluten-free or vegan dishes?

    Yes, you can find dishes here that cater to all your needs. Didn't find what you're looking for? No problem, just talk to our service team, and together we'll find a great alternative tailored to your preferences.

  • Is there a changing room?

    Yes, you can find it in our hotel lobby, which is also accessible from the restaurant.

Spa & Fitness

  • Deep cleaning!

    Every Monday, the spa area undergoes a thorough cleaning from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., which is why it is closed during this time.

  • What spa amenities are available in the room?

    We've prepared a spa bag in your room, containing towels and bathrobes. You can either bring your own flip-flops or purchase them from us.

  • Can I rent flip-flops?

    We don't have a flip-flop rental service, but we're happy to sell you our seagrass slippers for €4 each. Of course, you can also bring your own.

  • Are you allowed to enter the sauna area without flip-flops?

    Generally, we do not require you to wear flip-flops, but we do recommend that you do.

  • Is prior booking necessary?

    Treatments are only possible by prior appointment, which can be made via our homepage or by telephone.

  • Is it possible to book as an external guest?

    Yes, we offer appointments for external guests from Sunday to Thursday, as well as Friday mornings.

  • What are the cancellation conditions?

    You can cancel your wellness appointments free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled treatment. In the event of a no-show or last-minute cancellation, 85% of the treatment price will be charged.

  • Gym?

    We don't have a fitness room at the hotel. We have a partnership with the "Red Fit Hössen" fitness center in Westerstede, which is about 1.5 km from the hotel. Guests can use it free of charge.

  • Which room is reserved?

    We assure you that we will select the best possible room for your event and the number of attendees. We reserve the right to change the specified room(s), especially if the number of attendees changes.

  • How many guests can meet at the Chocolate Hotel?

    Our largest, connected meeting room can accommodate 200 guests.

  • How fast is the internet?

    Our internet has a speed of 100 Mbps. 100 Mbps corresponds to a download speed of up to 12.5 megabytes per second. The speed depends on how many people and devices are connected simultaneously.

Arrival-

  • Arriving by car:

    Take the A28 motorway and exit at Westerstede. Follow the signs toward Westerstede Zentrum. Continue along Bahnhofstraße, and you will find the hotel on the right.

  • Arriving by public transport:

    Take the train to Westerstede Ocholt station and then the bus to Westerstede central bus station. The hotel is located very close to the central bus station, just a few minutes' walk away.

  • Arriving by bike:

    Follow the bike path along Bahnhofstraße to Westerstede. The hotel is opposite Takko and right on the market square.
