Is this hotel suitable for children?
With its Hössenbad and the Janßen Farm Experience, Westerstede is a great place for kids to visit!
Our hotel is primarily designed to offer a quiet and relaxing environment for adults. While children are welcome here, we are not a hotel specifically geared toward children.
If you bring your little ones along, we’d love to have them! However, please make sure that peace and relaxation remain the priority at all times and that your children respect this.
Westerstede also has a swimming pool with an outdoor pool and a slide—the perfect place to let the kids run wild!
Does the restaurant offer special meal options for children?
Yes, our restaurant offers a small children’s menu that is specially tailored to the tastes of our younger guests. This way, even our little foodies can find something delicious to eat.

When can I check in? When is the latest I can check out?
Check-in is available starting at 3:00 PM, and check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. You are welcome to book early check-in or late check-out for an additional fee of €30 each.
Early Check-In: from 12:00 p.m.
Late check-out: until 2 p.m.

Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
Of course, feel free to bring your four-legged friends to the hotel! We have special rooms where dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of €20 per dog per night. Please note that dogs are not allowed in our Chocolate Lounge or in the Vossini Restaurant due to the open kitchen. If your dog cannot stay in the room at all, please let us know. By the way, we also make exceptions for up to 2 dogs in the breakfast area.

Do we have rooms with twin beds?
Our double rooms are equipped with double beds that cannotbe separated.

Do we have rooms that are accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes, we have accessible rooms in the Trüffel category.

Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning; this depends on the room category you choose.

Do we have rooms with a bathtub?
Yes, two rooms in our Praline category are equipped with a bathtub.

Do we have any rooms with carpet?
Yes, most of our rooms are carpeted.

Do we have ground-floor rooms?
We do not have any rooms on the ground floor, but all double rooms are accessible by elevator.

Do we have a room with a connecting door?
Yes, we have a connecting door between a Trüffel-category double room and a Trüffel-category single room.

Yes, you can check in starting at 12:00 p.m. for an additional fee of €30. Regular check-in begins at 3:00 p.m.

Sure, you can check out by 2 p.m. for an additional fee of €30. The standard check-out time is 11 a.m.

- Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Is there a bike shelter?
Yes, there is a lockable bike shed in the hotel's parking lot.

Is it possible to charge e-bikes?
Yes, our locked bike shed is equipped with charging stations for your e-bike batteries. Charging in your room or in enclosed spaces in general is not permitted due to the increased risk of fire.

What are the cancellation policies?
- Bookings for bed and breakfast can be canceled free of charge up to one day before arrival.
- Bookings can be canceled free of charge up to 3 days before arrival.
- Bookings made for the holidays can be canceled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
- Non-refundable installments are non-refundable.
Otherwise, we charge 85% of the accommodation cost as a cancellation fee.

What are the hours of operation at Vossini Restaurant?
The breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and on weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
We're open daily from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and look forward to treating you to our hot dishes.

What are the opening hours at the Chocolate Lounge?
In our Chocolate Lounge, you can enjoy breakfast dishes, hot beverages, hot meals, and cocktails daily from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
Dogs are not permitted in any of our dining areas (Schokolounge and Restaurant Vossini). You’re welcome to sit with your four-legged friend on our cozy market terrace. During the colder months, our terrace is just as inviting, with radiant heaters, patio heaters, and blankets.

Accessibility?
Our restaurant has tables at ground level; just let us know when you make your reservation, and we’ll take that into account.

Do you offer lactose-free, gluten-free, or vegan dishes?
Yes, we have dishes that cater to all your preferences. Can’t find what you’re looking for? No problem—just reach out to our service team, and together we’ll find a great alternative tailored to your tastes.

Is there a baby changing room?
Yes, you'll find it in our hotel lobby, which is also accessible from the restaurant.
Spa & Fitness

Deep cleaning!
Every Monday, the spa area undergoes a deep cleaning from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., so it is closed during that time.

What spa amenities are provided in the room?
We have left a spa bag in your room containing towels and bathrobes for you. You can either bring your own slippers or purchase them from us.

Can I rent flip-flops?
We don't rent out flip-flops, but we're happy to sell you our seagrass slippers for €4 each. Of course, you're also welcome to bring your own flip-flops.

Is it okay to enter the sauna area without flip-flops?
We don't require you to wear flip-flops, but we do recommend that you do so.

Is a reservation required?
Appointments are available only by prior arrangement, which can be made through our website or by phone.

Can I make a reservation as a guest?
Yes, for external guests, we offer appointments from Sunday through Thursday, as well as Friday mornings.

What are the cancellation policies?
You may cancel your wellness appointments free of charge up to 48 hours before the treatment. If you do not show up or cancel at the last minute, 85% of the treatment price will be charged.

Gym?
We don't have a fitness center at the hotel. We have a partnership with "Red Fit Hössen" in Westerstede, which is about 1.5 km from the hotel, and you can use it for free as a hotel guest.

Which room is reserved?
We assure you that we will select the best possible venue for your event and the number of guests. We reserve the right to change the venue(s) listed, particularly if the number of guests changes.

How many guests can hold a meeting at the Chocolate Hotel?
Our largest, open-plan conference room can accommodate 200 guests.

How fast is the internet?
Our internet connection has a speed of 100 Mbps.
100 Mbit/s corresponds to a download speed of up to 12.5 megabytes per second. The speed depends on how many people and devices are connected at the same time.

Traveling by car:
Take the A28 highway and exit at Westerstede. Follow the signs toward Westerstede Zentrum. Follow Bahnhofstraße, and you’ll find the hotel on your right.

Directions by public transportation:
Take the train to Westerstede Ocholt Station, then take the bus to the Westerstede Central Bus Station (ZOB). The hotel is located right next to the ZOB, just a few minutes' walk away.

Traveling by bike:
Follow the bike path along Bahnhofstraße toward Westerstede. The hotel is located across from Takko and right on the market square.
