The Chocolate Hotel

A truly wonderful hotel offering every amenity you could possibly want. The concept of this themed hotel is unique in Germany and has been brought to life with great attention to detail throughout the property. The range of hands-on workshops, Sunday buffets, dining options, sauna, and spa treatments is a real asset to the town of Westerstede, where unfortunately not much else is going on. However, Wilhelmshaven and Oldenburg are easily accessible within a 45-minute drive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the hotel for a week for a seminar. The location is excellent. Right in the city center and close to the central bus station, yet very quiet. The rooms are very modern and clean. The seminar rooms are functional and clean; they’ll also be modernized soon—the manager showed me the plans. It’s going to be really nice. But the food here really deserves special mention. It’s by far the best I’ve had in seminar hotels over the past six years. The service was top-notch, too. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone—whether for a conference, a vacation, or just to go out for a meal.

This was our second weekend there, and we'll definitely be back. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated, and very clean.

You’re already looking forward to breakfast by the time you go to bed 🤗 The wellness area is small but nice, and even though the hotel is always busy, it’s never crowded there—it’s a great place to relax. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, but I was particularly impressed by a nice employee named Diek, Deik? Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name clearly enough—he was super polite, helpful, and courteous.

It was only a two-night stay, but it felt like a week-long vacation.

Mr. Eihusen made a great first impression at check-in. Everything was spotlessly clean, cozy, and had a relaxing atmosphere. Delicious breakfast, breathtaking dinner, tasty drinks, and great service in the restaurant and bar. The chocolates and pralines were so delicious. Renate’s chocolate massage and facial treatment are highly recommended.

A really lovely hotel with a great "chocolate" theme and a fantastic on-site restaurant.

Tasting stations, in-house production, a café, breakfast, dinner—the theme is brilliantly incorporated everywhere (you can enjoy chocolate with your meal, but you don’t have to; there are also great dishes without chocolate). A great hotel, a great theme, fantastic food, friendly staff who are on a first-name basis, and a cozy spa area. We’ll definitely be back!
