In the small but charming and newly renovated sauna area, the pool, and the outdoor sauna at our Chocolate Hotel, you can leave your stress, worries, and the tensions of everyday life behind.

Each of the three programs includes the following additional benefits per person:

Start your day with a gourmet breakfast served until 10:30 a.m. We'd be happy to reserve a table for you!

Starting at 7:00 a.m., you can use our swimming pool and treat yourself to some downtime. Starting at 3:00 p.m., our saunas and deep-heat seats are also available for your use.

To ensure you feel completely at ease, you’ll receive a spa bag containing towels, a cozy bathrobe, and comfortable slippers to wear during your visit. A drinking water station and fresh fruit are available for you in our spa area.

  • What can I expect at the SchokoSpa?

    At the SchokoSpa, you can really unwind!


    You'll find a heated pool (6 x 12 m) with a counter-current system and massage jets, a Finnish sauna, an infrared bench, and a barrel sauna in the outdoor area. 


    In the sauna area, video projections of chocolate and cocoa create a truly special atmosphere. We also offer massages, beauty treatments, and, of course, our legendary chocolate massage!

  • What are the opening hours for the pool and sauna?

    Our poolis open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., so you can enjoy a refreshing swim both early in the morning and in the evening. 


    The saunas are open on weekdays from 3:00 PM andon weekends and holidays from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM. 


    Please note: Deep cleaning takes place every Monday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.; the entire spa area will be closed during this time. 


    Children under 16 may use the swimming area only until 4:00 p.m. and must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Is it necessary to make a reservation in advance for treatments?

    Yes, all massages and treatments at SchokoSpa are available by appointment only. 

    We recommend that you book before you arrive, as our slots are very popular and fill up quickly. The easiest way is to book online directly through our website.

  • Can non-guests book a massage as well?

    Of course! You don't have to stay with us to enjoy a pampering session at the SchokoSpa. For day guests, we offer appointments from Sunday through Thursday, as well as on Friday mornings. 

    We also have some great day spa packages for you, such as our Chocolate Sauna starting at €34.90 or our Day Spa & Dinner package starting at €49. Just book in advance—preferably by phone at +49 4488 5190 or by email at info@schokoladenhotel.de.

  • How big is the swimming pool?

    Our poolmeasures 6 by 12 meters and is 1.30 meters deep, making it perfect for swimming, splashing around, and relaxing. It also features a counter-current system and massage jets that work wonders after a long day.


    The pool is heated year-round and is available to both hotel guests and day-spa guests.

  • What is a chocolate massage?

    Our chocolate massage is the absolute highlight of the SchokoSpa! Your entire body is enveloped in warm chocolate. Gentle massage techniques and the soothing effects of the chocolate release endorphins, leaving your skin feeling silky-soft and imparting a long-lasting cocoa scent. 


    Duration: 45 minutes, Price: €75. 


    We recommend this treatment for individuals 18 years of age and older, as it is not possible to cover the area during the procedure.

  • Is it okay to enter the sauna area without flip-flops?

    We don't require you to wear flip-flops, but we do recommend that you do so.

  • Information on Deep Cleaning

    Every Monday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., we perform our weekly deep cleaning at SchokoSpa. 


    During this hour, the entire spa area will be closed to you. Starting at 9:00 a.m., everything will be fresh and well-maintained and available for your use again. Please keep this in mind when planning your day!

  • What are the cancellation policies for spa treatments?

    You can cancelor reschedule your appointments free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment. 

    Unfortunately, in the event of a last-minute cancellation or no-show, we will charge 85% of the treatment fee, as we are unable to fill the slot with another client.
