A Chocolate Lounge

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

You can do what Bridget Jones does—only much better. In our Chocolate Lounge —which is a lounge, café, and bar all in one. In addition to what is probably the best barista coffee in Ammerland, there are delicious cupcakes, unique chocolates and brilliant desserts. And a few savory options, too!

It's not just an ideal place for a leisurely coffee break, a light lunch or a late breakfast—but also for a delicious “sundowner” from our extensive drink menu paired with one of our amazing desserts!

Every day from 6 to 8 p.m., we offer our Happy Hour , so be sure to stop by and enjoy the evening in a chocolate-themed atmosphere.

Have you tried our own Amaro creation yet?

Our Kamaro is an original creation based on a recipe developed by the chef himself! During the pandemic, that temporary boredom paid off. Christian Voss decided to try his hand at making his own liqueur. The result is Kamaro:

From Boss to Chocolatier

As sous-chefs here at Restaurant Vossini, we discovered Faruk Ceteler’s passion for the culinary possibilities of chocolate and explored it further through workshops. Together with Bernd Voss, we laid the foundation for the start of our chocolate journey at the Chocolate Hotel. We’ve now been chocolatiers at the Chocolate Atelier for many years, crafting delicious pralines, tartlets, and desserts just for you. You can easily get to know us at a chocolate event or drop by anytime to visit us at the Atelier!

  • When is the Chocolate Lounge open?

    Our Chocolate Lounge is open Sunday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 12:00 PM to midnight. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon break, a slice of cake after shopping, or a cozy evening with a cocktail—just stop by!

  • Can day visitors also visit the Chocolate Lounge?

    Of course! The Chocolate Lounge is also open to guests who aren't staying at the hotel. Just walk right in and enjoy!

  • What is the Kamaro?

    Kamaro is our very own house creation—an amaro made from cocoa, developed personally by Christian Voss. A true delight served neat or on the rocks, and the perfect evening drink as a Kamaro Spritz with tonic, rosemary, and lemon. Kamaro is available exclusively here at the Schokolounge!

  • Does the Chocolate Lounge also serve savory dishes?

    Yes. In addition to cupcakes, chocolates, and sweet desserts from our chocolate workshop, we also have savory options on the menu. So the Chocolate Lounge isn’t just the perfect spot for those with a sweet tooth!

  • Are dogs allowed in the Chocolate Lounge?

    Unfortunately, no. Dogs are not allowed in the Schokolounge or at Restaurant Vossini because food is served there. However, your four-legged friends are more than welcome on our market terrace!
